On the hydrangeas

the weight of the morning sun

the evening sun

---Otsuyu

dreaming of melon
sun melting on the skin
a spread of gold leaf
that is how I imagine summer--
and not this Northern drizzle

Come this way :) We skipped spring and fell right into the summer:)

Beautiful poem, Beatrice!

You are in Canada, Vida? Lucky you, here in the UK we had a brief 'summer' in April! Far too hot then, but now though not cold, it verges on the autumnal... Can't wait for a bit of sun..

I guess I never mentioned it, I live in Georgia, USA. Hot and sticky with some thunderstorms from time to time :))

I love the change of seasons, but it is difficult to get an even spread of seasons anywhere, each place has predominant season. In beautiful England, unfortunately that is "Grey" :) -neither too cold, nor too hot, but wet and grey!

Excellent as always Beatrice. I hate the hot steamy summer the Northeast has. NYC is the worst. We don't have central air here. Can't think in humidity.
